Methodology
How we test
DealStackLab exists because every other 'best software' list is a vendor grading itself or a thin AI listicle. Here is exactly how our verdicts are made.
01 / We pay for the tools
Every score comes from a paid account we actually used - never a vendor-provided demo or a sponsored walkthrough. We run real workflows: building lists, skip tracing batches, logging calls, analyzing deals.
02 / We track real prices
List price lies. We log the base subscription plus credits, overage rates, and per-seat costs, then stamp the date we verified it. We re-check pricing on a monthly cadence and update the 'last verified' date on every data page.
03 / How we score
Scores combine measured speed, accuracy, coverage, and true cost - not vibes. When a product updates, raises prices, or its data coverage changes, the score changes with it. A high score has to be re-earned.
04 / We say who it's NOT for
Most reviews only praise. We tell you when to skip a tool, when a cheaper option wins, and when you should just keep what you already have. An honest 'not for you' is more useful than another five stars.
05 / What we will not do
Rankings are never for sale. No vendor can pay for a score, a placement, or a removal of a caveat. We earn affiliate commissions on some links (see our disclosure), and those commissions never influence a verdict.
